Our blog followers are thinking, "it's about time!":-) Sorry for leaving you all thinking that we were missing in action but we are just very, very busy!

With a new baby girl on the way :-) and Brooke starting kindergarten this year we have had a lot going on along with a busy summer season so as always blogging gets the least attention from us- especially during the summer! We still have high hopes of blogging every session from 2010 and of course at a much later date- 2011 sessions. ;-) We may have to devote an entire day to posting lots of blogs, so always check out older posts!

Anyways, enough about why we haven't blogged and onto our beautiful couple Kayla & Jonathan- more affectionally known as Chunk. :-) We have known Jon for a very long time as he was a great friend of our brother's and so we were happy to capture the sweet connection between him and Kayla. They were soo cute together. Thanks guys for choosing us to take your engagement pictures and we are sorry that we couldn't take your second session. :-( We hope that you all are enjoying married life! :-)

We are proud to introduce to you Paige and Jake- one beautiful, sweet couple! They had such a great chemistry and definitely didn't need any pointers on how to relax in front of the camera. They were naturals! We would like to take a moment to say thank you to Jake for serving our country- he is over in Afghanistan right now and we pray for a safe return. We have known him since he was a little boy, he is a great friend of our brother. Take care Jake!

We have started our 2011 season off to a great start. We can't wait to use all of our new props, here are some of them: an awesome teal couch, a vintage blue pedal car, colorful suitcases, a canopy, 1940s radio, bird cage, banners, and multi-color pom poms and our all new line of tire colors! :-)

We know, we know - we have not blogged in FOREVER and for all our blog readers we are sorry, but promise to do better ;-). We actually were having trouble with our blog, so that will be our excuse and the other one being we are crazy busy as usual at this time of the year.

We hope that everyone is having a great week and staying dry with all this rain that we're having. We thought it was April's showers that we had to worry about, geesh, May has been filled with rainy days. But, hey, we love a good rainy day ever now and then- not just everyday.

:-) Enough about rain, let's talk about Blake- one of our last seniors to blog. We were thrilled when his mom, Janet, told us that they had a cool location in mind along with an AWESOME RED truck to use. We were escatic about the truck- as always we love working with vintage cars/trucks. Check out one of our few GUY senior sessions that we had last year- come on boys- you need GREAT pictures too! Oh, how we miss Fall, it is by far our favorite time of the year. Can't you just feel the fresh crisp air just by looking at these pictures? Meet Amanda and her guys ! Braxton was a little doll full of tons of smiles. So, we didn't have to act as crazy as we normally do to get a smile out of our little ones (Yes we pretend to be chickens, bunnies - whatever it takes). It is always a great feat to finish sorting through and editing the bazillion pictures that we take on a wedding day. Lacey & John's wedding was no exception, we were with them for nearly 12 hours and so of course took lots of pictures- over 1,500 actually. :-) We always love traveling to new places and were excited to capture Lacey & John's big day in Frankfort. We are sure that by the end of the day our wedding couples are sick of looking at us- ha ha!

Their wedding was held at a gorgeous church complete with a beautiful bride and handsome groom -everything went perfectly. The wedding was all the way back in September and they have had their wedding album for months now but we just wanted to share their BIG day on our blog!

All the way back in September, we had the pleasure of photographing this adorable family. Korey & Kolben were such dolls and it was so sweet to watch them love on each other- you can tell they are going to be great friends and not just brothers. :-) Brandy knew that we loved vintage cars/trucks and so she quickly suggested using their awesome old truck. Whoa, did we have a hard time trying to limit our favorites for this blog?!?! We didn't do a very good job- in fact, we failed miserably at being selective in our choices, but hey, this session was awesome. Of course, it definitely doesn't help that we are indecisive and always having different opinions on what needs to be posted. ha! We couldn't help but want to share so many from this session. Not only did we find a new favorite spot to shoot but we had a real model posing it up for us. We can't wait to go back to this spot, we have big plans for it. :-) Meet Shalyne, another one of our 2010 seniors. Isn't she photogenic with those piercing blue eyes and silky, smooth skin? We had the most relaxing session with her, she was so sweet and up for anything that we ask.

We have officially finished editing all 2009 sessions and are in the process of completing all 2009 orders. YAY! We are also trying to document all of those sessions on our blog. So, for today's blog, we have the beautiful, green eyed doll Emily. It was such a delight to spend the evening with Emily and her mom, Vicki. They are two of the sweetest people we have ever met and we don't just think that because they gave us a most generous tip. :-) Thanks girls! We had a lot of fun during Emily's session and love how the pictures turned out!

Kori is another one of our awesome seniors that we were so fortunate to be able to photograph. :-) She was so very polite and willing to play model for a day. We were very pleased with the results. She made such a beautiful model! This was another session that we couldn't believe that we were able to have. Once upon a summer, we had a session with three pretty sisters and their cousins. :-) We had to start their session earlier than we usually begin shooting and so we went on a search to find some shade. Occasionally the sun was kind enough to hide behind some big, puffy clouds- which made us very happy and caused us to work really fast. Regardless of the not-so-perfect working conditions, we feel that we pulled off some awesome shots that document their wonderful love & connection, not only as sisters but as friends. We also included a few pictures from our mini-session with their adorable cousins! We are looking forward to taking Chelsea's senior pictures in June.

~Our Christmas decorations are being drug out of storage and are anxiously awaiting to bring some Christmas cheer to our homes! We could honestly have a Christmas store with as many decorations as we have . . do any of you guys want to come over for a decorating party?? ;-)~

With our senior sessions practically wrapped up for the season, we are finally able to reflect on what a great bunch of seniors that we had the chance to photograph. Have we mentioned how much we love our seniors? Yes, we probably have a billion times, but we really do love them. ;-) Meet our next senior in line to be blogged: Katie . . she is truly a sweetheart and was a pleasure to photograph. Check out these great pictures that we got of her.

Is it just us or is it beginning to look a lot like Christmas??? We are excited about getting our decorations up in the next couple of weeks. Christmas is a huge deal at our houses and we are sooo looking forward to it.

Okay, so we have completely neglected our blog. Please forgive us!! Here is just a fast post of some amazing images that we were able to capture on Amanda and John's wedding day. Although we have complete wedding coverage, we figured that we would only post our absolute favorites from their big day. Our wedding packages include a separate bridal session but who would need one with awesome images like these. We were fortunate enough to have some extra time with the newlyweds after their reception. The lighting was just right and the hot summer sun was beginning to set . . . add a beautiful bride and handsome groom and voilà !

We are starting to get caught up a bit, so expect to see more blogs in our near future. :-)

We are happy to introduce to you: Miss Terran!

We had a blast at her senior session, which was all the way back in July to give you an idea of how behind we are in blogging. We loved hanging out with Terran and her mom Sally, and who could forget Matt. Thanks for helping us hold the reflector. :-) We have known Terran since she was a little girl and are delighted to see what a beautiful young woman she is becoming. We sincerely thank you guys for choosing us to capture Terran's most exciting year of high school.

On a completely different note, we would like to apologize to all of the people that wanted to schedule appointments with us this season but weren't able to get in. We have actually ended up having to turn down over 30 clients, we simply are overwhelmed with the response that we have received and wish that there were more hours in the day/days in the week. If you are interested in booking with us for 2010, we are only going to accept a limited amount of sessions, so we recommend that you book early.

We will try to get caught up with our blogs eventually, but if we are blogging then that means that we aren't editing, ordering or taking pictures . . .so sadly blogging has to come last, for now.

We won't let our break from blogging be too long though. We have some awesome posts coming up! :-)

We are thrilled to post another all time favorite session!! Meet Brittany & Jason and their baby bump Jaden- who by the way has already made his grand entrance into the world. Congrats again guys!

We still can't believe that we were able to have their maternity session . . imagine them coming all the way from Florence and us coming all the way from McKee only to get to Lexington and be drenched by a "monsoon," accompanied by thunder and lightning. We had checked the weather that day and the forecast only predicted 30% chance of rain/t-storms, so we figured we would go on with the session. We had decided to have their shoot at the fabulous Talon Winery and you can imagine our disappointment as we drove down the road leading to the winery barely able to see through the rain. We almost called off the shoot and were about to head our separate ways but decided we would wait it out. We spent 30-40 mins. waiting on the storm to pass in separate vehicles, we couldn't even get out of the car to talk to them. Looking back, it was quite hilarious. We waited until we thought it was safe enough for a prego lady and then we all jumped out and put on our game faces. 8-) We left the session soaked up to our knees, but were so thankful that we were able to spend a little time with this wonderful couple and come away with some of our most favorite pictures ever. We were ecstatic to be able to capture a rainbow!!

Thanks so much guys for letting us document this important time in your lives. We hope that Jaden looks back one day and cherishes these pictures. God Bless!

Nah, but this cute little gal could easliy pass as her look alike. Little Brooke kept telling us she looked liked Hannah Montana's best friend Lilly. Either way she looks like a movie star! Meet Megan, she was a delight to photograph. The camera loved her and we were able to get many wonderful shots of her. We are very pleased with her session.

Oh, how we loved this session!! We don't need to go on and on about how great Brittany and Travis' affection is for each other, we feel that the images below say it all! :-) Their wedding went perfect, we are swamped with session after session but are looking forward to editing their wedding pictures. They are such an awesome couple! We wish you guys loads of happiness and a blessed marriage!

~Completely Smitten~

Meet Jena and Matt! They were such a wonderful couple to take pictures of. They have dated for a very long time- we believe it is close to 10 years and you would have thought that they were a brand new couple, completely smitten with each other. :-) They were so cute! We even got to spend time with Jena's retired race horse, Ting. We have always been horse lovers and are delighted to use them in our photographs. We are excited about Jena and Matt's wedding in October at the Kentucky Horse Park, Jena is going to even ride up in a horse and carriage. Sounds like a dream wedding!

We were sincerely thankful for all of the emails that we received from Jena, Matt and their families expressing their love for their pictures. It is emails like that that make all the hours of editing worth it, so a big thank you to all!

We are finally finished with Jes and Jon's wedding and as always we have trouble narrowing down our favorites for the blog, so you guys get an overload of images. :-). We love outside weddings and were thrilled to find out that Jes was going to have her horse join us for the day. Who, by the way, made the most gorgeous prop for an already awesome couple!~ Jes and Jon have a great chemistry, can't you feel their love?? They are just so sweet together, Jes has the most beautiful smile and you can so tell that Jon simply adores her. We couldn't help but be happy while editing their pictures, maybe it was the great images that we were able to get or perhaps it was Jes' contagious smile, either way we can't wait to share these with all of you. Jes and Jon, enjoy these while waiting on your album . . can't wait for you guys to see them all. :-)

Rainbow of Tires

Check out our awesome painted tires, don't they look like big "fruit loops?" lol We have had this idea in mind for forever, and are so glad to finally be sharing it on our blog. These are sure to become a First Comes Love staple, we have already been using them with lots of clients . . they are perfect for children, seniors, couples, and families. Hey, knowing us we will have them at a wedding before long. :-) We actually have 10 more cans of spray paint waiting on the perfect tire, when we are all finished we will have a rainbow. :-)

Meet Braxton, Bryce and Raylie! They were our first clients to get to use the tires, we think the pictures turned out so adorable. Not only did their outifts match our tires great, but the children were so stinkin' cute. Thanks for the wonderful email Jenna, we are soo glad that you love them. See you guys soon!

Molly always dreamed of getting married in this awesome castle, and it looks like her dreams are coming true . . she and Jeremy are planning on getting married here within the next few years. Her mom, Mary Ann, used to call her Princess Molly of Keck, hence the title. ;-) They wanted a fairy tale themed session and every fairy tale has a castle, right? So, Jeremy made the arrangements for us to be able to have their session at the castle. How lucky were we to get to hang out at the Versailles castle for the evening? We hope that you guys enjoy these, we have like a million more. :-)

Yay for Mandy and Paul! Carson is expected to be here sometime tomorrow. We wanted to post Mandy's maternity pictures before her little guy made his entrance into this big ole' world! So here they are . . . doesn't she look awesome?? We started the session out in Carson's nursery, which was gorgeous and ended up at some of our favorite downtown locations. Hope you enjoy these Mandy . . we will say a little prayer for you, Paul and baby Carson tomorrow. Can't wait to take his newborn pictures!!

To all of our clients that have written within the past week, we will get back to you as soon as possible. We are running behind on responding to new client emails- we had 6-7 people want in within 2 days- and we are already booked for the season. :-( Next spring is going to fill up fast!
